My mate has a TT One V2, I think, (the one with the SD slot), and I have just had a look at the V4 in Halfords. The thing I notice is the V2 feature, which we use a lot, that allows you to view and then alter a given route seems to have disappeared. Also, some of the reviews I have read seem to suggest that it’s not as good as the older version.
Does anyone have any experience of either of these units.

If you want to use the Itinerary function then I would consider a different model than the "dumbed down" One devices, they used to have the itinerary function and are quite capable of performing this task but it has been removed.
If all you need is the option to plan a route via a single location then the device will perform this, its just locating the menu for this is slightly different, tap the Sat strength meter (lower right corner) then the "Find Alternative" button which is on the Route summary screen.

Look at getting either a 520 or 720 as these can be bought for just over £100 and will perform the Itineray function as well as a whole host of other options - Mike

Thanks Mike. Much appreciated.

My mate finds this feature really useful for single trips where he want to exclude some of the 'suggested', less desired, rout options for a more favorable rout. Essentially excluding known problematic sections of the journey.

Do you know if any of the Garmin range has a similar facility.

Thanks.

Benny

I am not sure about the Garmin devices as its quite some time since I last tried using one, perhaps you should ask in the Garmin forum if the devices support Itinerary planning on the device - Mike

That's much more easily achieved by using the Alternative Route | Avoid part of route facility to exclude sections of road that you do not wish to be navigated along.
