Ive just loaded the new map onto my unit. All good, but now I have lost all my favourites and it also turned of and reset all the PGPSW safety cameras.

Does anyone know if you can save your favourites onto a computer so when I put the next new maps and this happens again I can just transfer the favourites back onto the GPS.

Also do I have to re input the speed camera distances manually or is there a faster way of doing this?

Thanks

FAQ #15 will answer the favourites problem, not ideal but at least it gets them back, the FAQ page can be found by clicking Here As for the speed camera setting you will need to set them up again as the new software cannot read the old MapSettings.cfg file so it creates a new one losing all the original settings - very clever NOT! - that said it only takes 5 minutes even when using the full speed zoned set up - Mike

the thing is I never wrote down all the distances for the different types of cameras.

Has anyone got a list of what has worked well for them?

I tend to have a voice alert at a greater distance for the mobile cameras and a closer alert for the gatso cameras.

I use the x10 rule, for fixed cameras if the speed limit is 30 then the distance is 300 yards, if the speed limit is 60 then the distance is set to 600 yards, for mobiles some users double these values. I tend to add 50% (ish) its very easy way to remember these values, and assuming you are driving close to the legal limit the device will trigger a warning around 25 seconds prior to the fixed camera installations. Obviously the time prior to a mobile will be greater than 25 seconds depending upon the uplift to the yards value you decide your happy with - Mike
