Mobile Speed cameras use in North Yorkshire

I am interested to find out whether other North Yorkshire road users have noticed a reduction in the use of hand-held speed detection equipment on the roads in this county. Whilst Della Canning, previous Chief Constable was insitu, speed detection patrols were in frequent use. Since Graham Maxwell succeeded her as Chief Constable there appears to be a different policy inforce with a noticeable reduction in this field of policing.

i did read recently that scarborough were trialling some static cameras - could be to do with seeing howmuch they make from just static compared to just mobile?
