Delete waypoints from PC

Using Mapsource or G7toWin, if I download the waypoints from my 2610 to the PC, then delete a load of them, then upload to the 2610 again, the original list of waypoints I wanted to delete are still there. It appears to only add new waypoints or modify ones already there.

Is it possible to delete waypoints other than doing them 1 by 1 on the 2610? Rather laborious if there are a lot of them to delete.

Gartrip doesn't help as it won't talk to my USB connection.

On the 2160, select FIND, WAYPOINTS, then press MENU button and one of the options is DELETE WAYPOINTS which will delete all of them for you in one go.

I have also found with the newest 2610 firmware version that you can now delete specific "types" of waypoints, based on their symbol.

This is useful for me as I can delete all speed camera waypoints (I use scull & crossbones) without affecting my other waypoints.
