"engineer" has been & gone,no different will now be back Friday with new mother board,my service plan allows for a new PC if not repairable !!,can smell a new PC on the way. |

It is/was "enhanced" usb. Latest laser printer worked fine, recent digital camera and everything else, but not the TT until additional card fitted. Worked for me might help someone else. |

Somebody in a North American TT forum said today that it was not till the x20 models that the units had a 'usb 2.0 interface'; earlier models only had a 'usb 1.1 interface'.
Now, while he may not have used the word 'interface' correctly (English is not his first language, I believe), there may be something to what he's saying, if correct, in that perhaps the computer has usb 2.0 capabilitity (those with XP and SP2 or Vista) but the hardware being connected isn't at that level, thereby causing some of these issues.
I do not know where he saw or got this information; I do know from previous posts, that he is usually quite accurate when discussing hardware issues. I believe he works in a large Electronics store .. one of the largest companies in North america. |

Engineer has been & gone,the mother board has been replaced and all seems ok.....at the moment anyway,managed to at long last down load the camera base. |
