Myguide 3100 POI performance problem

I have used the IGO POI Explorer to import my original igo.db, add the 186 kb accommodation.csv then export it back out. The resulting igo.db has increased from 46kb to 368kb. When I start up the MyGuide it takes an extra 15 seconds to load. OK, that's reasonable but when I add more downloaded POIs that total 2.7Mb igo.db increases to 5.9Mb and after 10 minutes it still hasn't loaded. Has anyone else been more succesful with this, or suggest if I'm going anything wrong.
