frozen screen

i have a garmin streetpilot c 310 the screen has frozen and wont do anything also i cant seem to switch it off its as if the whole unit has frozen anybody got any ideas of wot to do

I got my C510 into a similar state - I ended up dismantling it and unplugging the battery. Does the C310 have a RESET switch? Also, what type of ON/OFF switch is it? -- if it's a momentary contact type, you could try holding it in for a while.

Of course, if you just leave it - it may sort itself out, once the battery's gone flat!
