I recently upgraded my 500 to the latest software version 7.162. Since then I have found a small number of POI descriptions are corrupt .ie: a 30 Traffic camera is shown as O'R;A traffic light POI as @NR and there are others. Deleting them and re-adding makes no difference as they are still corrupted. Can anyone throw any light on
this please? I tried TomTom's website for help but got exactly nowhere!

I don't know if it's the same problem, but check This Thread out.

I have followed the thread and yes I did use POI Edit. I have been using POCKETGPSWORLD to refresh these POI's once I had deleted them but with the same result. Incidentally, where are these *.inf files located exactly?

If you've got them, they will be in the same place as the other files for the POI (the .ov2, the .bmp and the optional .ogg) I.e. in the map folder.
