Hi all, it's a little vague. I had to re-install Windows & the TomTom Home software for my 720 again. It now looks different from how I remember it.

I had the option of controlling the 720 using the software on the computer, providing I downloaded an extra piece of software. But I can no longer see that option. I did click on "My Go 720" I remember doing this before, but I'm sure the layout was different. Red text appeared informing me that I would have to load extra software. I did this but I still don't get the TomTom icons on the computer.

I have selected the correct language. Other than that I can't think of anything else to do. Any sugestions?

Regards,
Roy

sounds like you may be using a different version of tomtom home. Do help, about, to get the version number. Version 2 looks very different to version 1. You can download version 2 from tomtom website, although version 1 is still supplied on the cd with the 720.

Embarassed Yes, you were right. My version 1.6 new version 2.1.2.121 I must have originally plugged in the TomTom & allowed it to download the latest software. This time I installed the software from the enclosed cd.

I guess that memory really does go with age! For anyone wanting the new version (well worth it) this is the address:

http://www.tomtom.com/plus/service.php?ID=17

Just insure that it's correct for your TomTom.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Regards,
Roy.
