I have an o2 xda2i I have bought a gps module to plug into it but my software reports no gps receiver found. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Bit more infor please...

What gps 'module'? What OS is the PDA running?

If it is a cabled GPS device that is using the serial com port on the unit go to Start Settings/ Connections tab and select Beam, now de-select the "receive all incoming beams" check box and try the GPS again.

The iRDA port uses the same serial com port on the XDA so when it is switched to iRDA mode (which is by default) the unit cannot see the GPS receiver when powered and connected - Mike

my xda2i is running windows mobile 2003 se my gps is a sg949
