USA Florida Maps working on UK Nuvi turn your 610 into a 670

I have just bought myself a Nuvi 610t, i really wanted the 670 but could not afford the huge cost.
So i decided to see if i could get the North America maps on my 610.

You should have a look at the vvv.geodude.nl website, i downloaded the Metrogold software. Then bought the latest version of Mapsource North America v8 from ebay and installed.

It works a treat with all the Poi and routing. have also tried it on my friends 300 it works OK but you cannot search by address but the Poi and routing are fine.

I thought i would share this as it has saved me a fortune, and the Metroguide software is not locked like the City Navigator, and is cheaper.

I should get this week the latest Europe version of Metroguide to see if i can also update the UK and Ireland maps on my 610.

I have no connection with the Metrogold website, just like to share the info.
