Newbie And The TomTom Rider

I just received a TomTom Rider as a gift and have a couple of questions:

1. I plan on using the Rider for motorcycle trips and wondered if there are any pc based mapping programs (streets and trips, etc) that I can plan a route on and download to the TomTom?

2. When we travel on our motorcycles we typically want to plan a route similar to what you can do in programs like streets and trips (example you can type in the intersection of US-6 and SR-287, 19003 and it pin point that). Is this possible on this unit?
