mg zt sat nav lost :(

hey all, just got a mg zt with the bmw tele/sat nav and the other day it locked up solid, so i did a full reset, now its working but the system cant work out where you are

If you go onto map it show the arrow jumping all over the road and spinning round seems to be struggling to sort its location

Anyone know either a specialist in the nottingham/derby area or if the units is a dead one??

Other than that is there a seperate gps sender unit???

I don't know any specialists, but as it's a BMW system, a BMW dealer may be able to help.

First of all, the fault is likely to be either the GPS aerial, or the gyro sensors (or even the whole nav unit itself). A google search for the BMW system should find you the information on how to enter the diagnostic mode for the system might help.

You need to see whether the unit is receiving a GPS signal, but should also give you access to the other sensors it's using, which will help confirm what's working, and not working.
