In the GPS control section of my Asus PPC I notice that along with the normal ports I have `GPD` ports.I`m guessing these are something to do with the inbuilt port splitter application, but neither TTN5 or MemoryMap offer these as selectable configurations.
I have read........http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=43279.........
Anyone know if the reg hacks will work on my A636N?
Anyone have any other tips other than installing a separate port splitter app (which I have done and works but would just like to get the WM5 going)?
Cheers

don't waste your time with the WM5 applet. It is highly unreliable. Use a third party port splitter.

Ok, so two well posted people here are offering differing information about this WM5 "Managing GPS Automatically".

Is it advisable to switch this on or not?

What are these "GPD" ports?

When you say use a "third party splitter", What do you mean please?

Thanks Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Laughing
