I have notice that you can get a TMC Traffic receiver for GO for £47.74 from Amazon UK has anyone had any dealing from them lately or had any problems?
Cheers

My experience is that unless you are directly next to a Classic FM radio mast you will probably never receive the TMC signal and your Tom Tom will just sit "tuning" into lots of radio stations that don't transmit TMC data. Subscribe to Tom Tom's Traffic service if you really need traffic info. I have found the TT Traffic service to be very reliable. In reply to your question I'd say don't buy the Tom Tom RDS-TMC device as it is next to useless in most parts of the UK.

I understand that TT's TMC kit does not include a means of patching in an external antenna - eg your car radio's aerial. If this is the case and TT rely on the iTIS version of TMC then gotom is absolutely correct: it will be virtually useless. On the other hand if TT uses TrafficMaster data then at best you'll find reception is hit-and-miss.
