Hello
I wonder if anyone can help? My mother has asked me to buy her a portable navigation system that she can take from car to car, to use in the UK, on holiday in hire cars, and so on. I thought I'd narrowed down the search to the Garmin Streetpilot III Deluxe with its price as it is, however closer inspection suggests that the mapping for Spain is not particularly exhaustive. Which is a problem, as thats exactly where she's likely to use it loads (as she has a place there, goes often, etc)!
Help!
Any suggestions much apprecaited, and thanks in advance
Graeme. |

Doesn't really matter much what system you select. All of the maps for Spain are sub optimal. Just make sure you get a good update policy for later map updates. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for the reply Lutz. I checked again with my mother, and she said that as long as it had Barcelona Airport, and the town of L'Escala (not streets within the town, just the ability to find the town from the airport), then that's all she's initially worried about! So if anyone knows if there's a way I can check this, then that would be very much appreciated.
Oh, and to add to the equation, she now says that she is gettin an Ipaq next week, so I guess that changes the options a bit?!
Regards, Graeme |

I have had it checked by my friend Javier over at todopocketpc.com - Looks like TomTom has the better maps for that area. I'll send you the screenshots by email. _________________ Lutz
