|
|
Hi,
Have a Mio 168 have read in various places that the Battery is not replaceable by user, actually have just purchased a new battery from Ebay.
Emailed Global Positioning Systems whom I purchased Mio 168 from they said there should be no problems just remove phillips retaining screws from back cover.
My concern is the the flip up GPS Antenna, any thoughts or has anyone else been succesful in replacing battery or where you may get installation guidlines. I know to send it back to Mio would probably cost a fortune.
Any thoughts much appreciatted Cheers Len |

Hi,
Replacing the battery is easy, just need to be careful, BUT as you will see from my recent post I lost my GPS signal, and can't get it back. Be very very careful with the aerial connection. _________________ Leigh

Undo the screws, use a blunt knife to pop the two halves of the case apart, then open it like a book. Do this on a flat surface like the kitchen table. There is a short cable between the two halves, but it is long enough to split the two halves. Battery just plugs in the socket.
Voila, sorted. _________________ Regards the_fly |
