Hi

Can anyone tell me why my bluemedia bm6300 gives an audible 'favorites alert' and visual favorites alert when approaching SPECS cameras when it correctly identifies all the other different cameras.

The database is downloaded from eversham and is installed as they advise?

Strange and annoying considering when I hear the alert I assume im being alerted to the fact im near a shell garage when in fact im in the SPECS Zone!!!

Any help appreciated.

Does your post mean that the sound and visual alerts for SPECS cameras arent "warning average speed zone" or equivalent?

If so it is because the favourites file, the audio file and the icon file are not all the same.

After downloading the files (from this site) I rename them all to specs, redlight, mobile, temp and gatso.

The icons files are the same (with a .bmp extension) and the sounds are also the same with a .wav extension (can also be .spx or similar).

Audio files are in .....\voice\all\ , favourites are in ....\userdata\favorites\ (with an extension of .dat) and the icon files are in the same folder.

The .... is the path to the system which is release / platform dependant (on my PDA version of D6 it is \destinatorapps\destinator\ ).

The text message on the screen is the name of the favourites file.

One or more of these files is missing or incorrectly named.
