Is there any way to re-format the speedcamera database, so that it loads faster? Destinator 3 running on an iPAQ 4700 takes 2 1/2 minutes to load, and as more cameras are added this is likely to take longer.

Do you mean that the Destinator application itself takes 2 1/2 minutes to load every time on the PDA as opposed to the time it takes to load the speed cameras into Destinator via the Destinator Console?

Destinator 6 doesnt suffer from issues of this type (at least not on my X50V). A couple of years ago when I had Destinator 3 I do not recall any such problems.

Are you running the latest verson of the application?

Yes it is the application, 3.075, that takes 2 1/2 mins to load, loading the database via the Console is no problem. I was running it on an iPAQ 3950, which probably took longer, and have just changed to an iPAQ 4700.

I have been using the database for about 18 months and loading the program seems to takeprogressively longer as the database has grown in size. By the way I use the single file.

I to find Destinator takes ages to load when I have Speed cam file checked as AutoAlert1 in fav's. Uncheck this and app loads fine.
Any one know how to make it tell me when I am approaching a cam ?
