How to reset a Belkin (Fortuna Clip-on)

I have the Belkin bluetooth GPS, but it is the same as the Fortuna clip-on. However, mine no longer turns on. I tried hooking it up directly to the power and nothing. I took out the battery and connected it directly to the power cable and the power light would come on for a split second, then nothing. How do you reset it? i thought you had to take out the battery for a few hours and then it would reset, but it hasn't helped. Is there another way to reset it?

Does the battery not supply 3.7v and the USB Power Supply 5V? That could be a problem?

It should power up when connected to the power supply irrespective of there being a battery in it or not... Also, try testing the battery with a multimeter to see if it is charged.
