I Recently bought a go 700 for motorcycle use (pre-loaded Europe & good for car made it better value than rider)
My supplier told me that it would communicate with Rider bluetooth headset so i also bought the headset.
No suprise to learn that it wont. Supplier will take it back but I would rather get it all working if possible.

If I can tap into the 700 audio output I could either connect a 3.5 mm socket for a wired connection or maybe even attach a blutooth transmitter so I can still use the Rider headset.

Any advice or information appreciated.

Why not just get the Rider for your bike?
It certainly seems that that would take care of a lot of your issues. Is the money you will save really worth all the extra effort?

Does anyone else smarter than me (not a tough thing) have an answer?

How did they modify the dock to fit the 700?

Prob with rider is it only comes with UK maps, has no speaker to be used in a car also. The 700 dependant on your bike you don't really want to hit any pot holes and ensure it is fully waterproof. The 700 is best value for money imo, Totalpda are doing refurbs at a really good price.

A 700 for motorcycle use? I don't think the vibrations will be helping the hard disk inside the 700. Bad idea.

Hi all, I have a tom tom go 700 with Euro maps and have just bought a TT rider for the bike. I want to take the bike down to France but only have the standard UK maps which were supplied with the TT Rider. There is no way I am paying again for the euro maps which I already own on the 700. Does anyone know how to transfer the Euro maps over to a pre bought 2 gb sd card for the TT rider? I tried and failed. HELP! Thanks.

- make sure File explorer doesn't hide any files.
- copy all map folders over as is
- install the application either via HOME or manually.
- don't forget to copy the voices too

Thanks for the info Ibendlin, sorry but I need a bit more detail Crying or Very sad
- install the application either via HOME or manually. (what does this mean?)

Is it just the map files I should transfer, aside from the voices? For example if I make a back up of my Rider and then transfer to the 2 gb sd card, can I just then transfer the maps or am I missing something?

Appreciate it if you could fill in the blanks.

Cheers.
