Topo on 60Csx?

I am considering a 60Csx as a replacement for my old Etrex vista.

What topographical map options are there (apart from garmins - which only covers UK) for europe?
Is there any 3rd party or free topo mapping that will go on?

Hi hoss183,

I use the Garmin Topo for the actual GPS and Anquet Mapping for planning routes and downloading tracks after walks etc. This combo works well.

The only none Garmin Topo I'm aware of is the The Scotish Mountaineering Club @

I've not used this but am aware it's been around a long time and is always being updated and maintained - always a good sign in my book.

Thanks ernie, thats certainly a nice map collection (when i come back to the uk) but i am looking to see what coverage of europe there is.

i.e. french / swiss alps is a priority
