Has anyone experienced this while travelling down the "Orby road" in lincolnshire as it leads on to the A52 my go700 tells me that it still does not exist as you appear to be driving across a field only correcting itself when entering the main A52 it has been like this now for the last 2 years+ i was talking to another tomtom user who has the same problem and was told that the road is not yet on there mapping but has been there for about 3 years, come on tomtom isnt it about time you did something..I used to use a Garmin which was far more upto date with the mapping and the above what i have mentioned WAS on the garmin mapping, also the Ricoh Arena and its access roads are not on the mapping either and thats been there for about 2 years as well...Me thinks that tomtom are soon about to loose another customer if it dont get there finger out.........any takers??? Embarassed

Yes, it's the state of the maps that let devices like these down, otherwise they are great.

Now who should be asked regarding whether this road or that road exists, whether it's actually driveable, and whether it's a one way street or not... well that's us, the people who are actually driving and using them.

So what we need is someone to create a sort of subscriber wiki-subversion-map website. You pay say a £10 'deposit' and you can go in and download the latest map. You can update the map if you find errors, new roads, etc., and add POIs. Anyone who pays the subscription can do this so everybody gets the latest info at the point of download. Anybody who acts stupid by making one way roads go the wrong way, etc., is banned from the website and loses their 'deposit'. You get my drift.

I'm sure something like this could work, and work well, if it's done right.

I reported a map error over 2 years ago, and that's still not been corrected. yet it HAS on other maps produced by another company, it only took THEM 12 MONTHS.

It's about time TELEATLAS got off their backsides.

Autoroute 2002 has mapping done by TeleAtlas, and an error WAS sent to them then, Autoroute 2007 STILL has the error.

Like Ferret79 says, They should listen to their users what more Bl**y prove do they want???

you have a 700 series. You have older maps. waiting 2 years won't change that. This may have been corrected on the x10 series. A lot of things where updated when I got my 910.

What's having a 700 got to do with it.?????????????/

If you BUY updated maps, you expect them to be upto date, after 2 or more years.

DrMipps you may have a 910 but in 2 years time will you be saying that yours will be out of date too, me thinks that you would be petty darned anoyed if it was, having a 700 has no effect on being out of date what it does mean though is that tele atlas just dont seem to be bothered about updating there maps and neither do tomtom once they have your hard earned cash. Navtec however are far more up to date.
