I'm thinking of buying Destinator 6 with European maps rather than downloading the western europe maps add-on for tomtom 5 (which I already have), as the price is roughly the same.
Currently its France (Normandy) and Spain (Majorca) that I'm primarily interested in. Are the Destinator maps newer/better? What size SD card would I need to Destinator 6?

The Destinator 6 maps are Q1 2006 so it is difficult to be more up to date. I do not have Tomtom but I have seen that the mainland Spain maps in D6 are much better than the previous version.
If you need the UK, France and Spain maps you will need about 480MB of storage card but you can reduce this by cutting just the maps for Normandy and Majorca on your PC and then installing the smaller maps. |

Buy the Destinator update (you can do it with a cross-upgrade) is cheaper
Maps have been improved a lot in Spain, France´s map is really good. |

Thanks all,
I'll look into the cross-upgrade!
