I used a ver old version of mapololis in the past, without routing/gps, and it was a great wee map program, and SO SO fast....
Downloaded the latest one and the 10 day demo navigator maps.
It's dog awful slow.... am I doing something wrong? Zooming, moving the map around, all at least 5 times slower than before... |

please define "latest". The current version 4.71.0.1 is pretty fast again. (and yes, some versions in between had slowed down) _________________ Lutz

I just downloaded it last night. Previous to v4, the speed was simply incredible. I've since ditched it and someone got me Route 66 Navigator 7 as a (their) going away present. MUCH better.... |

But hey, everybody has different preferences. Use whatever you think is best. _________________ Lutz

Yeah, that was my first thought when he bought me it... Took it out today fir the first time and it's glorious, and the maps for NI are well up to date apparently.
But honestly, even some menus in Mapopolis were taking up to ten seconds to appear! Thank God for 10 day trials. |
