Hi Guys

Hope someone can help me here.I just purchased the go 700 and upgraded to version 5.440 with the download from the tom tom website.Since then i have a vertical white line on the lcd screen....i tried restoring the back up but it but the line still persists. Does anyone know why and what I can do about it? Is it possible to do a format and restore the original back up....how would I do this ? Scared to do it in case I cant load the backup on again !

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

a line on the screen means a problem with the display i suspect. is it still in warranty? if so get it repaired.

Try the reset button underneath the unit.

Plug your Go into the PC.

Go to "My Computer"
You should see your Go as a drive, right click on it, go down to Format and click this. Don't choose "quick Format" though. You want to completely wipe it.

Once this has finished, re-install your very first back up you did... it should be about 1.3GB.

Voila.... back to how you bought it.
