Indeed it was but it was only ever available as a bundle with the HP PDA and was never on general sale.

On the subject of upgrades, does anyone know if it'll be possible to upgrade from v3 to v6 (ie for the same price as from v5)? I usually like to skip a version with software updates, just to maximise my value for money.

If not, does anyone know if it's still possible to get a reduced upgrade from v3 to v5? I foolishly bought an Axim x51v recently, only to find that TTN3 doesn't work with WM5, and I don't want to fork out the full price of TTN5 if I can avoid it - I'd rather sell the Axim and go back to my iPAQ if it comes to it.

The v5 Upgrade program has long since ended and I'd doubt there will be the opportunity to upgrade from v3, sorry Sad

I've been using TT for over a year now, and have never gotten a newsletter. I'm registered, have an account, asked a bunch of questions, given road feedback, but still no newsletter. Has anyone gotten a newsletter in the last 15 months?

I read that as being

"We aren't going to do a big update of the software. So we are going to force you to buy a map instead".

The first version of the new code base was v4 and this was released for the Palm platform as TTN for Palm. This was on general sale. Smile
