Hi all

Without going into details and boring you, I have a credit in Halfords here from my Mio 269 purchase.

I went into the store today and basically my credit note is worth €600. I was pointed towards the C320 Garmin unit.

I was quite impressed with it and almost decided as I bought an i3 recently and really like the Garmin maps etc especially for here in Southern Ireland

Anyway, I also spotted the C310 and asked what the difference was. The guy told me that the main differennce was the European maps come with the C320 on DVD and can be loaded onto an SD card afterwards depending on the country I want.

Now.....

The C310 is €469 and the C320 is €699.
I thought it seemed to be a big difference just for European maps but decided I would read up on both items first before purchasing. From what I have found though, it seems that the C310 does in fact come with basic European road maps. The only use outside of UK and Ireland that I would envisage, is 2 or 3 weekend visits to Belgium or Paris per year.

Am I right in assuming that the C310 would have basic maps to get me from town to town in Belgium etc?? If this is the case, I cannot justify spending an extra €230 for the C320 as ALL other features seem to be the same???

Is it just me or am I missing something here? The difference between the units seems HUGE pricewise, but in functionality.... very little.

Also, if this is the case, can I purchase say.. Benelux maps on an SD card afterwards?

I would really appreciate any feedback as I plan to make the purchase in the next couple of days.

Thanks in advance
