When I hide poi does this disable speed cameras?
Another quick question I always have to wait around 5 mins before setting off for a satelite fix is this normal?

Not sure what you mean. If you mean Disable them in Enable/Disable then they will still warn you if you have set up Warn When Near.

To be also warned when not on a Route, you have to Untick the Option to Warn Only When On Route.

When you have to wait 5 mins, is this every time? Also is this when moving?

It always takes a longer time to get a fix when moving, and do you have a heat reflecting windscreen?

The "hide POIs" option on the TT does not affect any "warn when near" settings you have set up. So it will still warn you of cameras as long as you have that set up.
