Hi there, for the TT5 set the GPS up using the "other wired NMEA device" select the Baud speed and on the final screen you will be prompted for the port to use, select the correct Bluetooth portt and you should be away - Note it may take a while to get a lock on if its the first time you have sync with TT (circa 10-15 Min) - Hope this helps - Mike

Hey folks,
This is a SOLUTION for anyone using MDA compact(M500 or Imate Jam or Qtek S100/S110) with Windows Mobile 2003 SE and trying to pair or bond a BT77 GPS Receiver with your PDA. Many have a problem like I did. So here's the solution. Here's how it goes.

- Switch off your BT77.
- Softreset your PDA.
- Install LATEST BTTools from http://bluetooth.i-networx.de/index_e.html
- I downloaded BTTools 1.1
- Install BTTools
- SoftReset.
- Start -> Settings -> System tab -> run Bluetooth Settings.
- Tick all 3 boxes that you see.
- Press the start Button in the middle of the screen "Bluetooth Activesync Setup".
- If you get a ppup message "Please start bonding..." just hit OK
- On the page that u get, for Bluetooth, UNTICK BOTH boxes "Turn on Bluetooth" and "Make this device discoverable...".
- Go to the devices tab.
- Switch on your BT77.
- Click New....
- You should find the "BT GPS" receiver.
- Select it and click next.
- Enter your passkey as 0000
- Click next. Now WAIT.
- DONT Click finish yet if you get the screen which says "BT GPS" and a button "Finish"
- Instead Click on Windows flag on the screen top left corner and select "Today" from the menu.
- You should see a nice icons menu which shows "Serial Port", "Activesync", "Modem" and so on.
- Tick only the "Serial Port" box and then select COM8 from the drop down box beside it.
- Now you can finish it all.
- Now turn on the "bluetooth" by ticking the box "Turn on Bluetooth" .
- Basically, now your TOMTOM or other Navigator software will see an option of BT GPS on COM8.
- You are all set to go.

Few points to note: The blue light on BT77 keeps flashing even when bonded. Dont expect it to be stable.

If you fail then drop me a post.

Best of L(F)uck!!
Enjoy!! GPSing

pocketmar.

For the Exec, once you have the item connected then go on to the COM Ports tab select New Outgoing Port, select the GPS unit listed then press next, then set a COM port (I have used COM8 with secure Connection box ticked, then configure TomTom and it should work - the yellow ? I have seen on a few 2005 devices but it still works - Mike
