I can't decide which one to get! I can get either one for the same price, and they both have the features that I want: battery-powered, same-size touch screen, and removable SD card. Which one should I get?

The Garmin is kind of thick, I like the thiness of the Navman. But I've heard that Navman has problems locking onto signals.

What do you guys think?

I`ve had a Navman 520 for a few months now, locks on no prob, if not used for a while it can take 2 or 3 minutes to get a first lock, and I have a heat reflective screen and do NOT use an aerial, I have no experience of the Garmin.

I am the opposite to shughie. I have no navman experience, but own a C320.

I had to choose between these two units. From reading comments on the internet/this forum, I think the C320 has the best sound(stereo speakers with volume nob), better graphics(I always think the Navman screen looks quite cluttered), better maps(navtech maps). The garmin has a touch screen input. The navman uses a stylus(not good in a car, especially if you drop it).

I think the Navman unit is more portable. While the garmin is more bulky, it does feel light, I often carry it around in a bag and forget about it.

Hi,

yes the Navman 520 has a stylus, but many inputs can be made with the finger.
Sometimes the fingernail is more accurate!

However, it also expects input from the passenger, not driver - unless using the remote?

I chose the Navman because of its pocketability and am quite happy with it.
