How do I update a Honda CRV Sat Nav Disk ?

My wife has a Honda CRV (reg 03) with the inbuilt manufacturers Sat Nav system (Alpine). This contains the NavTech European DVD disk (version 2.01)

Can anybody tell me if it is possible to update the DVD and if so which versions are likely to be compatibe ? Or should any subsequent version work ?

Hi,

Neither Honda nor Alpine show up on Navteq's update list, so it looks as if you're in the hands of Honda Parts Dept.. Looking at other models, it seems a new European DVD would be £200+ even from Navteq.

I'm not an expert, but I doubt if any other DVDs will work, as Honda/Alpine probably want to make some money out of you
