Hi,

Please can someone help?

I have recently purchased the ipaq 3970. I have the tom tom nav2 software installed to use GPS in the car. I also have a seperate monitor in the front of the car as well as the screen on my ipaq. Can the seperate monitor be connected to the ipaq to enable the GPS to be shown on the 'larger' monitor?

Hope this makes sense.

Yes it can at a premium. You'll need to pay a couple of hundred pounds to get a projection unit which will give you a box that takes the signal out as VGA onto a standard VGA Monitor.

The other alternative if it's a laptop is to connect it up with the cradle and run a Remote_DSP connection to it to remote control it and project it onto the PC.

To my knowledge, there's at least one VGA out option for the iPAQ, including something called the Flyjacket.

Whether that's any use with Navigator, I don't know. The hardware isn't cheap (it's designed for running PowerPoint presentations).
