Hi I have Tom Tom go and an HP 1940- I am wondering if it is possible to set it so that it avoids motorways when calculating routes? I use it in my car and bike and sometimes it is actually quicker to use fast A roads rather than motorways. I have tried the shortest route calculator but that seems to take me down all sorts of very small B roads and sometimes housing estates etc. As an example I recently went to Silverstone but rather than come home via the M1/M25 wanted to use good A roads. I found it impossible to get the system to direct me onto the type of roads I wanted. Any ideas?

Thanks

Simon

Version 5.x gives you the option to avoid motorways.

I'm not clear what your setup is Confused but if there is an option to set the "Preferred Speeds" in Advanced Properties, set the motorway speed to 10mph and that will fix it!
