Medion PNA 150 POI

Hope someone can help, despite having 3 x 1 hour phone calls to medions technical support in Swindon, my PNA 150 will not display POI's on the main map whilst driving, I go into poi select what i want by ticking the box but nothing displays on the map, when I go back to poi the tick marks have gone, also the manual refers to a bottom tool bar but there is definitely not one on mine, can anyone help before I pull what little hair I have left out?

Not that its any help but I had the same problem, mine has now developed a program error and won't run navigation at all so I am going to return it.
