I have used Memory Map with my Ipaq HX4700, bluetooth GPS and TT5.1 installed.
I found the only way to connect was to manually connect using Bluetooth Manager then starting Memory Map.

You can only use TT5 maps with TT5 application software. You can get the TT5 application from TomTom for nothing but you must have maps which are registered. You can buy them for around £100, but, the ... |

I had the same problem with an Arkon mount which I solved by selecting TomTom Wired GPS, it also woked on NMEA with a lower Baud rate.

Hi Pete,
I would imagine that the problem is WIFI related. Do you have WIFI activated when you travel around, if so you could be picking up a signal at the services that is crashing the system.
