I don't see why that should be a problem. On most Factory installed GPS systems, the "mouse" is placed on the roof of the car. |

I had the same idea so I opted to not use rechargable. I went with non-rechargable Lithium 1.5v cells and I've been using them for a long time with my Garmin eTrex Vista and the battery bar stll show ... |

The only time I had a problem with the Geko and signal strength is under heavy tree cover. I havn't been to that same place with my Vista so I can't tell you how they compare but I have gone under so ... |

It looks like the Vista is reducing the number of route points of the route. I did an auto-route that had many turns in it and the Vista only showed 2 or 3. The rest were left out and the 2-3 points ... |
