PostForum: Satmap Active 10   Posted: Tue Oct 02, 2012 2:39 pm   Subject: New model
I gather from Satmap that a new model is in development. It will have 'new components' and a 'higher resolution screen'. But the screen shape and overall size will be the same and existing SD map card ...

There was no indication that Firefox 4 was a beta when I downloaded it. I too discovered that the Route Planner would not change scale to 1:50k or 1:25k.
Satmap told me to use IE8 which seems to be O ...

I attended several courses from GPS Training some years ago. They were well done and enjoyable. However they seem more geared towards Garmin than Satmap. On their website you can purchase an online co ...

I had this problem with the Snowdonia map and was told it was a problem with the latest upgrade. The card was replaced free of charge.

I emailed them saying that it was disappointing that new purchasers were getting £200 worth of software, but loyal existing customers needed to pay the full price for the whole Britain 1:50k map. They ...

PostForum: Satmap Active 10   Posted: Mon Nov 29, 2010 5:28 pm   Subject: 1:50k maps of whole Britain
When I heard that new purchasers of a Satmap were being given £200 worth of free 1:50k maps of whole Britain (to compete with the new MM gps, I assume) I had a little moan to Satmap and asked if they ...

The promised solar charger was at the Outdoor Show (unpriced and not yet available). It is a re-badged Power Monkey. The only difference appears to be the end of the lead that goes to the Satmap. It h ...

I was told it would only toggle at all when in 1:25k mode (which seems odd) but then I couldn't toggle to the Base Map, only to 1:50k. I'll let you know the final outcome.

PostForum: Satmap Active 10   Posted: Mon Feb 08, 2010 5:31 pm   Subject: Toggleable maps
I've just had a Snowdonia map made toggleable (ghastly word). It is supposed to toggle between Base map, 1:50k and 1:25k in rotation, but would only ever toggle between two of these three. Which two d ...

For those who registered before 1st April the Route Planner is free to use and my personal opinion is that it's very good. You can plan routes on OS maps anywhere in GB and then print them with your r ...

I've just tried using an LCD protector film for the Active 10. Seemed a good idea, but the cleaning wipe you're asked to use (alcohol based?) has damaged the Active 10 screen cover. Yes, I can replace ...
