Sounds like a duff unit - I would send it back.
ST picks up really quickly when outside for me. I leave mine in XT mode though now as it works just about everywhere then and I can keep it hidden in ... |

nope
you would need a bluetooth dongle for your laptop - the fortuna has no wires coming from it! |
