| I think TomTom were mad to drop the remote (as with many other things) - I find it very useful (and much safer). For this reason I recently upgraded to one of the last of the 750's available. |

No I dont. TomTom mapping is not yet up to date for that junction, so it doesn't have the correct "lane images", whether enabled or not. I don't enable lane images anyway.

You simply have to revert to basics and use your eyes to follow the overhead signs.
Surely you mean - Make sure you have "lane images" enabled and your TomTom will show you the direction sign :lo ... |

Just deleted internal os and booted from sd card. I am sure I read somewhere on here it was not possible.
Was busy last night trying to download latest map, so could not try then. |

....it will not make contact with the device if it has not paired and you are moving. It will only pair whilst stationary.
I didn't know this - but I'm sure I've connected while moving before.

I used to have this problem regularly on my 720 - remote would flash, then turn solid but not connected. Reset of the TomTom solved the problem and the remote would connect next attempt.
