I have both programs working on my iPAQ, I think the problem you have is TomTom locking the com port, install 2.06 GPS drivers to fix this,lots of posts about this on forums

I use CheckPOInt 3.2 but I don't "synchronise". I download the speed camera database, pick what files I want to use and then drag & drop them to the SD card using ActiveSync

solid green = no satellites
flashing green = connected to satellites
slow flashing blue = no bluetooth conection
faster flashing blue = blue ...

make sure the blue box on the GPS settings page has not unticked itsself, my 4150 did this if I started TomTom before switching the bluetooth on. Just a outside chance it may be this
