I reckon this will see a new wave of number plate cloning, etc. once it becomes more wide spread, I wonder how they plan to combat that?

Indeed, as Darren said, the ability to add a pin and lock it is a part of the functionality of "Operate My Go". It's the only way you can set the pin.
