I have used GPS with MemoryMap Navigator and Pocket streets to tell me where I am for four years or so but I haven't used navigation software. I tried this device today. I was surprised that it used s ...

Welcome!
I suggest that you take the battery out for a few minutes. After replacing it, turn on the Clip-On in a place with a good view of the sky - it's probably easier to this out of doors in Greec ...

My BLB-2 has never given more than 5 hours, which is about what the original battery was down to when replaced. When new, the original battery would do 7 to 8 hours.

I have a Fortuna / iPAQ/ AA Navigator system in my car and travel expensively on business. On the whole, I am happy with Fortuna but wish it was more sensitive. The instructions, on motorways and in ...

PostForum: GPS Receivers   Posted: Mon Sep 05, 2005 11:06 pm   Subject: Disabling "Static Navigation" with ClipOn?
I use my ClipOn primarily when walking. When I upgraded to the V2 firmware, it became unusable because the location would "stick" until I had walked for perhaps 2 minutes before relocating. I reflashe ...

PostForum: GPS Receivers   Posted: Sun Apr 10, 2005 6:55 pm   Subject: ST-XT switch
To my mind, a serious design flaw with the Clip-On is that the plastic component with the pin hole is the same colour as the component that is the power switch. This makes it difficult to believe that ...

I reflashed my Clip-on to V2 but found it unusable for walking so reflashed it back to V1. The GPS behaviour is as it was before flashing to V2 but the middle light continues to work as it did under V ...

I upgraded Memory Map on the PC to 4.4, doing the Win XP install as an administrator. My iPAQ is synchronised to a "limited" account as I prefer to keep the use of admin accounts to a minimum for secu ...

How about trying alternative software on the iPAQ to talk to the Clip-On? You could then see if the problem is associated with Fugawi's handling of the BT link or some other component of the system. C ...

Subjectively, I reckon I have seen unexpected BT timeouts on my iPAQ 4150 running pocket MM Nav connected to a Fortuna Clip-On. The only GPS app I'm using is MM Nav, so it can't be TomTom.
I also not ...
