Anyone else noticed that today's TomTom Newsletter has some top tips?
And at number 3 we have How can I transfer favourites to my new map?.....
Shame we all know that's more than likely to send you into an endless re-boot sequence now! |

And I was just about to ask you guys if i could use my last MapSettings.cfg file. Did this rebooting happened to everyone?
I also noticed that now I have to force TT to connect to my mobile. Are there any thread on that?

I am not sure if it affect everyone but we have seen plenty of posts on the subject which is why we recommend you convert the Favourites to a custom POI file instead, this is just so much more reliable - Mike |

There's no harm in trying it. It always used to work, but recent software changes mean it doesn't always. If your machine works, great, but if it doesn't you haven't done any lasting harm, you just need to remove the .cfg file again.
I was only saying that TT make no mention of this in that article. |

Thanks all,
I've now replaced mapsettings.cfg and so far there is no adverese effect. It still don't connect automatically to my mobile as it used to though. Not sure if there is anything I can do about it. Read somwhere that a reset might cure it but not tried it so far.
Thanks again, _________________ Tibor
