I have registered a new account with TomTom following my purchase of a 940. With this account I am not being offered the opportunity to subscribe to the Map Update Service. I am only being offered full price maps.
Has anyone else had this problem? |

I'm having the same problem with my 540. Hopefully it'll be available before I need it.

As you have already got the latest map, isn't it possible you will not get offered the combined map update and subscription service UNTIL there is a map to update to? |

If you use TT Home without logging in you will be offered the map update service, try and buy it and you will be asked to log in. Once logged in you will no longer be offerred it.
I wonder if it will re-appear under a log in once the three months of free services account are up? |

Yes..why would you want to pay for something before you need it!
But its not offering the HD traffic subscription yet either. As TomTom does have a mechanism to ADD the subscription to the end of an already existing one (i.e. the dates will not overlap), they should be able to offer it from day 1. Afterall you don't want it to expire first before you can buy it.
So part of this looks like they simply haven't enabled some purchase options for the x40 series yet. |
