Hi,
Does TomTom require any maintenance? It forever downloads bits and bobs like QuickGPS and I was wondering if over time files that are no longer needed remain on the onboard memory? Over time will this be filled with un-required out dated files?
Is there a way to "spruce" up the device? Possibly a "factory" reset allowing HOME to put your latest map on the device, etc. (Similar to a format and reinstalling of Windows in computer terms).
Cheers. |

Updated gpsquickfix files overwrite existing ones on the unit, so no problem there. However, each new downloaded gps file resides on your computer (ephemer folder, or close to the spelling) so they add up there. And you can delete them with no negative effect on functionality. _________________ David |

Any other folders that can regularly cleared as part of a "clean up"? Any other house keeping tools? Or equivilent of a Windows format?
