Hi,
Purchased a Navigon 2100 today (Decided against the MAX version as the standard was £10 cheaper at Halfords and came with the TMC free... Great stuff! Smaller screen but I actually prefer that... Happy!).
I've noticed that the speed limit data for a lot of roads in my area are slightly incorrect (Eg, sometimes shows 40 in a 30, etc [Usually where a road was a 40 but has become a 30 as we travel]).
Can anybody tell me if this speed limit data coming from the actual maps? Or the camera/POI database?
I have updated my maps (Free for first 30 days) and this has not fixed the problem. I would be willing to pay the £25 price tag to update the speed cameras if this will fix the speed limit data inaccuracies.
Cheers! |

Speed related data is embeded within the map data files so I doubt updating the cameras will alter any road speed display information - Mike |

My experience with map data and road speed limits is not to trust them!!!
The GPSWorld speed camera database and its camera speed limits, on the other hand, I have found deadly accurate!! |

I had wondered the same... Do we contact Navteq or Navigon. Most of the roads I have seen with errors don't have speed camera's on them.
I can only assume the speed is either from Navteq or generated by Navigon.
Any ideas ?? _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |
