I have just registered and downloaded to a tomtom 710
I followed as accurately as i could the download instructions for tomtom OV2 - got as far as instruction 18. The tomtom has completely seized - will not switch off, will not repond to computer touch svcreen or anything. Simply shows the opening tomtom logo presumably until the battery runs out
Disaster. Help!

Have you tried pressing the reset button on the underside of the device with a pin? - it is located next to the connector strip where the device sits in the mount - Mike |

Mike,
Many thanks for your kind reply. Sorry to be thick but I can only see a small round thing 2mm diameter at the end of the connector strip that looks to me like it engages with the mount. I've tried pressing it anyway - no effect. Have I found the right reset button? |

To get the instructions, go to this page and choose 910/710/510 from the drop down list.
The reset button is here (you need a paperclip)...

That sounds like the external GPS connection point to me, try This page from the TomTom support site to find the correct location, you will have to select your model from the dropdown box, then the page will change to show you photographs of the reset switch - Mike |
