Hi ccfcib and welcome to the forum,
Before anyone here can help we will need a bit more info, like:
What version firmware are you using on your GO300 and what version map are you trying to install?

See Dave's "sig" at the bottom of his post for the info we need.
To find it, tap the signal strength bars on the screen and that will take you to another screen with a small box telling you the software version.
Tap THAT box and it will take you to another screen with lots more info, including the version of map that it WAS using (if you still have the old map on there).
To get the version number of the NEW map, you'll need to look at the TomTom website if you bought it recently, or "Home" should tell you too (I think).
We suspect you have just bought a v7 map and you are still running v6 software, and that will be your problem.
Let us know and if that's the problem, it can be sorted fairly easily.
Now, some more questions:
1. Can you be very clear about what exactly you have done with your SD cards?
2. Do you still have a working system with the old map?
3. Have you copied everything from an original card to a new card?
4. Do both work with the old map?
5. We are assuming you downloaded the map from TomTom, is that right?
6. Are you using TomTom Home v2? |
