Hi there,
I'm subscribed to the site and successfully downloaded the speed camera data base to my tomtom go 520 in December 2007, now the problem i have is this, i tried to download the updated version thats just been released, i followed the steps as before, but i now do not have the Western-Central-Europe folder which i downloaded the previous data base to, so can anyone tell me what i am supposed to do now, there's a folder titled United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland, do i download the new speed camera data base to that folder now?
All help appreciated..... |

Yes the POI files go into the map folder, if you have upgraded the map then the map folder name will have changed, so paste the POI files into United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland and you will probably have to configure your warnings (double check just to make sure) - Mike |

Yes. The POI or Safety Camera files go into your map folder, be that United Kingdom or Western_Europe.
As your 520 is UK only then you will only have a United Kingdom map folder, for users with a 720 or any other TomTom with a full Europe map set then they would paste the files into the Western Europe folder _________________ Darren Griffin |

Ok guys did everything you said, and i think its worked ok, but i went into my tomtom go 520 to see if any "extra" speed cameras had been added, and to make any necessary adjustments,(or do they just get updated) and the list of cameras that i originally downloaded in December have remained unchanged, is this normal? or have i done something wrong?
Thanks |

No you haven't done anything wrong, it would appear TomTom Home has correctly transfered your old map POI files and config to the new map when it was installed. I only said to check this was the case just incase Home had messed up (it doesn't do that very often ) - Mike |
